Proper waste disposal and recycling help keep our communities clean, safe and environmentally responsible.

Waste collection, recycling options and disposal requirements differ between the R.M. of Pinto Creek No. 75, the Hamlets of Kincaid and Meyronne and  the Village of Hazenmore. Residents should review the information for their community or contact the appropriate municipal office.

Garbage Collection

Residents should place household waste out for collection according to the schedule and requirements established for their community.

To help ensure collection:

  • Place waste containers in the designated collection area before the scheduled pickup time.

  • Keep containers accessible and clear of vehicles, snow and other obstructions.

  • Secure loose materials to prevent litter.

  • Do not place hazardous, prohibited or oversized items with regular household waste.

  • Avoid overfilling containers or placing waste beside them unless permitted.

COLLECTION DATES/TIMES

Hamlet of Kincaid: Thursday's at 8am - Curbside Pick-up. Please ensure that your waste is sealed in a regular sized garbage bag an placed on your front curb prior to 8am Thursday Mornings.

Hamlet of Meyronne: A 6-yard bin is placed within the community to dispose of Meyronne residents garbage.

Village of Hazenmore:

Collection schedules may change because of statutory holidays, severe weather, road conditions or equipment issues. Updates will be posted in the Notices section when available.

Recycling

Residents are encouraged to reduce waste and recycle eligible materials whenever possible.

Triway's Disposal Service collects recycling as follows:

Hamlet of Kincaid: Triway's Residential Curbside Recycling - Will pick up every other Tuesday until end of September. RM of Pinto Creek and Hamlet of Meyronne: Triway's 6yd Bins are placed within the communities for drop off of recyclable items.

Hazenmore Residents: 

Beverage Container Recycling

Refundable beverage containers can be returned through Saskatchewan’s SARCAN recycling program.

Residents should visit a SARCAN depot or use an available drop-off service for accepted beverage containers. Depot locations, operating hours and accepted materials are available directly from SARCAN.

Household Hazardous Waste

Hazardous products must not be placed in regular garbage, poured into drains or disposed of on municipal land.

Examples include:

  • Paint, stains and solvents

  • Automotive fluids

  • Fuel and chemicals

  • Pesticides and herbicides

  • Batteries

  • Propane cylinders

  • Fluorescent bulbs

  • Other corrosive, flammable or toxic products

These items are not permitted. Please contact an approved recycling program to determine where these materials can be safely taken.

Large and Unusual Items

Furniture, appliances, construction materials, branches, agricultural waste and other oversized items are not accepted through regular garbage collection.

Before transporting these materials, contact the appropriate municipal office to confirm:

  • Where the material can be taken

  • Whether it will be accepted

  • Current facility hours

  • Applicable tipping or disposal fees

  • Whether sorting or preparation is required

Do not leave waste outside a closed facility or at an unauthorized location. Illegal dumping may result in cleanup costs, fines or other enforcement action.

Village

Contact the Village office for local garbage collection, recycling and disposal information.

Agricultural and Commercial Waste

Agricultural, industrial and commercial waste may be subject to different disposal requirements and are not accepted through residential services.

Producers and businesses should contact an approved waste facility before disposing of:

  • Chemical containers
  • Grain bags and agricultural plastics
  • Livestock or veterinary waste
  • Petroleum products
  • Construction and demolition material
  • Large equipment, machinery or tires

Report Illegal Dumping

Report illegal dumping, abandoned waste or unsafe disposal activity to the appropriate municipal office.

When making a report, provide the location, a description of the material and any other relevant details. Do not handle unidentified or potentially hazardous substances.
